Pettuleipä Finnish PINE BARK Bread Recipe | HARD TIMES – recipes from times of hardship
Pettuleipä or pine bark bread was made in Finland during times of famine when the inner bark of pine trees would be harvested, dried, and ground into flour and added to bread recipes to stretch out precious flour. HUGE thanks to Lovely Anna for suggesting this recipe and for sending me the difficult-to-find pine bark flour. 🙏
